The National Archives preserves and provides access to the records of the Federal Government. Their website provides a sample of these records, from the most celebrated milestones (Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, the Constitution) to little-known surprises.
The documents can be enlarged or downloaded in hi-res PDF format. Transcripts are available. Classroom resources and resarch links make this a valuable teaching tool.
