This cartoon by Christian Adams from The Telegraph relates to the wintry weather which is causing chaos in Britain (and elsewhere in Europe), ruining the travel plans of thousands of air passengers. Customers of online retailers are also experiencing delays. Amazon's UK website conceded "adverse weather is impacting our deliveries across the country".
The cartoon shows Father Christmas (or Santa Claus, if you prefer) standing forlonly beside his sleigh, which is loaded with presents. There's a thick layer of snow on the ground, and it's still snowing. A sign says: "ALL FLIGHTS CANCELLED". The "joke" is that the weather is so bad that even Santa has been grounded.
