Movies for Business

Movies for Business offers downloadable study guides to 12 movies suitable for teaching Management 101. The movies include Wall Street (one of my personal favourites), Roger and Me (Michael Moore) and Zulu (!). Each guide costs $5.95 and a sample guide is available for The Wizard of Oz. Alternatively, you can buy a book containing 5 guides.

Teach With Movies

Teach With Movies is a subscription-based site offering 'learning guides' to over 250 movies. The $11.99 per year subscription fee seems quite reasonable but if you are hesitating, 4 sample guides are available for consultation. The films seem to have been selected on the basis of their suitability for use with younger children, which is a pity in a way because that excludes a lot of excellent films. Many of these are included in a rather arbitrary list of films "not recommended for use as teaching tools", including Saving Private Ryan and The Princess Diaries! One other gripe: for a site about teaching, it's a pity there are so many spelling mistakes...
